I love it when a designer tells me I’m a genius!  That is what designer Deborah Hebert and her client said after hearing I would be able to provide hobbled roman shades valances for the bay window in a breakfast room.  The problem, they thought, was the door on the right side which opens into the room.  This door is used several times every day.   Not a problem I told them  as I would use the  Swing Door Top Treatment Kit from Rowley Company for the valance on the door.

The ‘before’ photo shows the bay windows with the door on the right.

The valance is installed on a hidden cornice which attaches to the wall. A separate piece of hardware is attached to the door to allow the door to open and the valance to swing into the room.
